Note that Docker Hub and AWS Marketplace both are not comparable as both are for different use-cases to solve different problems.
Docker Hub is the official Docker registry to store Docker provided official container images and also to store custom user created container images in public or private mode. Docker Hub is the centralized container image registry to ship the images to the runtime environment to create containers and run applications.
AWS Marketplace is storing third party registered AMIs to launch EC2 instances. Marketplace to provide you custom AMIs managing by third party vendors. These marketplace AMIs are packaged with vendor supported custom application configurations and Pay-As-You-Go license model, so that Marketplace AMIs avoid the challenges in deploying the applications on the EC2 created with default AWS provided AMIs. BYOL also not required.
